Weaving Dreams
I try to imagine myself as a homeless child without parents and without hope, begging for money on the side of the street to buy some scraps to eat. I try to imagine what it is like to be BB1 and BB2, deciding to leave our village and stowaway on a bus at the ages of 9 and 7.
I think of their fortune to cross paths with George. There are 32 lives like this in this very moment.
Preparing Them For A Successful Life
You are much more powerful than you may be aware of. Someone who has the most important private school in Tanzania contacted our Nargiz from Azerbaijan to offer her a job. As is always, she ended up telling this person about ALL FOR ONE and it ended with a conference call with a Minister in Tanzania. He told us they give scholarships to bright students from disadvantaged families. We are now working on getting Erick George into that school.
When Erick started school with our George, he failed all his classes. Now he is the first in his class and wants to be a lawyer.
All You Need Is Love
Everytime I tell George he is my ero he gets embarrassed and tell me no, ‘you are my hero’. He says ‘no Lonnie, he cannot pronounce the letter ‘R’ and instead it comes out ‘L’. He has done the hard part now let us do our part, get as many friends and co-workers to donat $1 per month. Let us meet with George and he Children on Saturday morning so they can see the people taking care of them. I AM MY BROTHER’S KEEPER. Then from that we remembered the Three Musketeers, All For One and One For All. The authorities in Dar es Saalam have given George one year to get the activity registered and we are working on that now, so our soon to be official name will be AA41AND14ALL.
About €35 per month per child
Why We Provide For Our Children
George takes care of children who needs help and he knows there is only now when a person needs help. There is no, let me think about it, he must act immediately.
We. agree on this approach and are building a structure that can support all the challenges in Tanzania. No, we are not optimistic; we are realists. 5,000 children simply cannot be homeless and living on the street as their upbringing has an impact on society in the future.
